What is death? What is life? The meaning of death lies not in endings, but in the spaces it creates between the living.

This picture book uses philosophical yet accessible language to reflect on how death shapes our emotions, memories, and imagination. Through death, it examines the very essence of life—and through life, it discovers the presence of death in the everyday.

The illustrations follow a single, ordinary day: the protagonist awakens from a dream, moves through moments of joy, tension, worry, and boredom, and eventually drifts back into sleep. Through this cycle, the book suggests that death is both part of the ordinary and a reminder of impermanence.

Using metaphors drawn from books, dreams, films, games, and weather, this work portrays death not only as an ending but also as a feeling, a farewell, and a vessel for fear and courage. In recognizing life’s limits, infinite possibilities quietly emerge.
